What does sharpening grooming scissors involve? #1) The scissors are cleaned and blown. #2) The scissors are installed on a specially designed scissor sharpener and sharpened until the entire cutting surface reaches a new edge. #3) The grooming scissors are washed again in a degreasing cleaner and dried with compressed air. #4) The scissors are lubricated and aligned again, then the tension of the adjustment screw is done on the pivot. #5) Each scissor is tested with a special test chain and adjusted to optimum cutting performance.
