Available in multiple sizes, the Petmate Vari-Kennel dog carrier is suitable for a wide range of breeds. To select the correct size, make sure your dog can stand up, turn around, and lie down comfortably inside the crate.
To determine the ideal size, measure your dog from the floor to the top of the head, and from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail.
The crate should be slightly larger than your pet — approximately 3 to 4 inches (7 to 10 cm) taller and longer — allowing enough space to stand, turn, and lie down comfortably. A crate that is too small will cause discomfort, while one that is too large may encourage your pet to relieve itself inside.
